Why Hotel ICON Drew the Ghost Texas Team to Downtown Houston
The newly released Ghost Texas trailer introduces a two-night investigation at Hotel ICON, a historic downtown Houston hotel housed in the former Union National Bank building. The property has long attracted reports from guests and staff describing unusual voices, figures and uneasy overnight stays. Those accounts are an important part of the investigation's context, but a witness's recollection should not be confused with a confirmed paranormal event.
The building's original banking purpose also gives the investigators a set of historical questions to explore. Rather than assuming that a story about the bank explains a modern experience, the team sought to compare reports with what they actually recorded during their visit.
The Room 415 EMF Readings
At one point, Patrick used a K2 electromagnetic-field meter and noticed unusually strong indications in and around room 415. The team checked other places nearby to compare the readings. The instrument reacted differently in different locations, which prompted a conversation about electrical systems and other possible environmental influences.
EMF readings, even when unexpected, cannot determine the presence or identity of a ghost. Their value here is as a documented observation that viewers can evaluate alongside the layout of the area and the team's attempts to compare locations.
Spirit-Box Sessions in a Former Bank
The crew also carried out spirit-box sessions, including questions connected to people who might once have worked in the building. Some responses sounded like possible names or phrases to investigators. The team later considered whether these impressions might have a historical connection, but a perceived phrase is not the same as a verified communication.
An Estes Method session added a different approach: one person listened to the audio while other investigators asked questions. This can change the circumstances of a session, though it does not eliminate chance word matches, radio fragments or interpretation.
The Second Night and the Penthouse
On the second night, the team was joined by guests connected to the hotel and spent time investigating its penthouse. A participant reported feeling pressure on his shoulders. During another sequence, several people believed they noticed a shadowlike outline on a thermal camera. The apparent form did not reproduce clearly in downloaded footage, a limitation that matters when weighing the account.
Thermal imaging represents temperature patterns rather than directly identifying people or spirits. The footage therefore invites examination, but it does not prove that an unseen figure occupied the room.
What to Expect From the Trailer
The trailer offers an introduction to the location, equipment, and moments that stood out to the investigators. It should not be mistaken for the full episode, and it does not resolve whether Hotel ICON is haunted. Those who want to assess the evidence should watch the full sequences as they become available, including the ordinary possibilities discussed on camera.

Is Hotel ICON in Houston considered haunted?
There are reported paranormal experiences associated with the building. Whether those experiences have supernatural causes remains unverified.
What did Ghost Texas record?
The trailer previews EMF readings, spirit-box and Estes Method sessions, and participant observations during an investigation spanning two nights. The recordings and accounts require careful interpretation rather than a presumption of paranormal activity.
